Scorpion Helmets

What are your thoughts on the Scorpion Helmets?
I have a friend who has a scorpion helment and loves it.
Inexpensive, No sweat build up, Visors do not fog up are just a few points he made.

I've never had one but I see online that their prices are inexpensive oposed to the Shoei RF1000 i'd purchased.

:dontknow:

I like mine so far but I have 1 complaint. It makes some kind of weird high pitched noise that even bothers me with ear plugs when I tuck in. It is the Exo400 model so I do not know if the Exo700 does that. Also, I have yet to crash test it... not looking forward to trying that out though. I have crash tested a couple of Shoei's TZ1 and X-11 models. I am still here. I have my eye on a certain Suomy model that I should be getting soon for when I head back to the track.

Eric, Scorpion makes a great helmet for the price, I sell a lot of them out of the shop. Go for the 700 series if you get one, it has a stronger/lighter shell material and about 40% more venting than the 400 series. Hit me up if you want more details.

Any crash reports?

Oh, I also do not like that there is no visor latch. Sucks at the track.

From a price vs. performance standpoint they seem to be the cat's Meoww...

(KBC, HJC also fall into the same category... just look at the features then pick one.)

I could be mistaken, but i believe these helmets are designed by a female doctor who was tired of seeing head injuries.:notworthy

Scorpions are poisonous and should not be worn on ones head. Pfft! Anything to be cool.
