when there's a will there's a way, wonder why suzi doesn;t have a 'busa race series like the SV?

it;s fine bike, and prolly has higher limits then most riders. but its application is not really track duty (at least road course). sure it can be done........but it ain't cheap.

2KBusa,
Go ride with the TSBA this weekend Sunday, Brookshire exit FM359 @ Jack in the Box kickstands up at 8am. I have yet to see a busa go the whole 322 mile route. Most of them didn't make it to Sealy. I would love to hear that you made it in one piece. Go find out how slow you really are.

True that Busa's are the fastest in a straight line...no one is really arguing that. I don't even think that he wants something like that. On another note, the Busa took years to develop the fairings for the least amount of drag. That is the only reason why the other liter bikes have trouble on the top end. I have never seen a Busa go faster than my 1K though with me on it. I hit 194 on my GPS. I was turning 9.92s @ 148mph in the 1/4 @ Baytown.
I respect the busa and it is a serious looking machine...especially in the white/gray scheme.

I think it is funny how busa owners think though. They all seem to think that nothing can touch them. I guess it is all in perception and what type of racing you are talking about. Going in a straight line is only fun for so long to me. Some people like going straight, some like a twisty street, some like to stunt...I respect them all. The whole point of motorcycling is to get out and ride and have fun no matter what your forte'.

well he said its just as fast as the busa.. but for that one thing this sunday i am going to the ride for kids and meeting brutx at 6:30 am so maybe next time i will but thats far for me to ride there and then back....and i never said the busa is the fastes with me on it from a roll there was only a couple of liter bikes that were very modded that took me and was not by much..and they do have a race class of there own in europe they race bmw ktr 1300 and some other bike i think the yamaha 1300 or something...liter bikes are fast i never said they were not but like i said my busa dosent stop at 190mph on the spedoo like my friends 03 or a gsxr1k stock.if you modd it it will be faster yeah how much you weigh counts a lot for a busa i am 130lb and the bike doesnt feel me on it..if i get on a gsxr1k and i was a exellent rider it would fly.lol and i never talk about other bike like your is slow but some people need to know were they stand if your a great ride and you have a liter bike yeah hands down you may bet a busa but if your a ok rider it will take more to take it on top speed or from a roll.....yeah and you sayed it best go out and ride but some people want to compre bike that were build for diffrent things...

You can borrow my suit if you want...I got 2 and I have no need for them. , I'll even go and watch. It has been a while since I was out there. I have a strap for the front of the bike too if you want to strap it. It makes a huge difference.

Back on topic.
The Aprilia's are good bikes. Handle well and have great power, especially after they are derestricted (pre- 2002 ones, '02 up come derestricted).

Maintenance is less often and less expensive than a Ducati.
Parts availability for some items can be sketchy sometimes, but I've had better luck with Aprilia than with Ducati.
As far as top speed, no, they're not going to run with a Busa, but that's not what the bike is designed to do. Overall they are very capable sportbikes.
