New from the NW side

What's up MH?

I found the site a few weeks ago and I've been having fun reading everyone's shenanigans so I decided to join in!

I just got my motorcycle license about five months ago on a whim since my brother and father love to ride. My brother is in the Air Force and is stationed in Aviano, Italy, and I got my license so I could ride with him and my dad on an upcoming trip to see him. In order to get ready for the trip, I took the MSF course about two weeks before I took a trip over there, and then practiced on my dad's sportster around Houston. When we got to Italy I was given my brother's Buell xb12scg for the week as he just got an R1. Italy was the most beautiful place to ride, having the Alps just outside the base gave us many fun Italian roads to play with. And while surviving the trip, I fell unconditionally in love with riding. Once I got back, I bought Inago, a 2007 candy red R6. I got her about 2 months ago and have been riding her about 25 miles to work every day and put on about 2,000 miles.

I have some photos from this past weekend, where my dad and I took 149 to Texas World Speedway for some PCA Drivers Education goodness I didn't go on the track this time, but I was having fun watching the festivities none the less. I attached some of my pictures from the event with some photos of Inago after some recent modifications. Enjoy and hello Motohouston!

Nice story, nice ride, nice pics. Welcome to MH.
Hate to tell you this, but after Italy, Houston roads will really suck.
There are plenty of rides/meets set up around town.
Drop by and say hello!

Hilarious! The bike was named for another reason, but it fits anyway!
I've already found out about the Houston roads, but I find it fun for the challenge anyway.

Sup NW!
I'm around Cutten and 1960, you guys know of anything that goes on up here?
I mostly hang out down by the galleria area on the weekends, but don't know where people meet up down there either.

Anyone from the NW going to Galveston on Sunday? Thinking of doing that...

Thanks for the warm welcome guys

You have got to be kidding about the weather...
http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdet...X0617?dayNum=3

52-74F
4mph wind NNE
and not a cloud in the sky

check out the Galveston link - looks like there's going to be around 100 people just riding down the the rally. It's going to be my first rally and actually my first ride of more than 5, but ill just stay towards the back and have some fun

Anyone else from the NW side going to Galveston?

ya, I'm heading down there, so maybe we can get a small group together around 10:15? I think alex.ellus might want to go as well, and I don't know anyone else from the NW side that are going to the Sunday rally. Anyone down?
