Cuz harley riders dont look as cool as sportbikers w gear on and bleeding amenities while climbing out of a ditch, throwing their helmet and asking for a drink.

Uh. OK. It is a study though that still has it's merits. The "less Chinese or Indian people" comment from you? Now that has lots of factual data behind it as a cause of accidents. (That was sarcasm).

BTW there was another study somewhere or another that I can't find that discussed the high number of accidents from older types getting back into biking after years away. I'll keep looking for it. It was a few years ago, so we probably need to go back to you Chinese and Indian cause and effect proposal.

Yes the Hurt report is 30yrs old, so i really don't think its representative of the US bikers today.

There's also the Maids study but thats euro and more recent, but it had more similar finding as the HUrt even though 30 yrs newer.

Yes older riders were dying in bigger # then sportbikers, but it was due to more cruisers then sportbikers, sportbikers as a % die more often.

I think there is a study currently going on by the fed. gov't that will hopefully be more comprehensive and specific (cruiser vs sportbikes, vs bike crashes)

The gravitational pull on modern sportbikes is much, much higher.

And thats why they make aftermarket fairings, your SUPPOSED to wreck them every now and then...
