MotoHouston SHNF Trail Ride 11/15/09

A few of us are gonna head to the trails up near Huntsville for a day of riding on the trails. 45 N to FM 1375 (just south of Huntsvillle), hang a left and the Stubblefield trail head will be on your right after the Ranger Station (approx. 6 miles or so).

In order to ride in the forest, there are 3 requirements.

1. an Off Road Vehicle permit (these can be purchased at Cycle Shack North or Honda of Houston (290 & West Rd.)) or you can call ahead of time and order a sticker from the state (512-389-8917). The cost of that permit is $8.

2. Your bike must have a Spark Arrestor (or if caught without, a ticket will be issued).

3. $5 daily guest fee or a $25 annual pass....which can also be purchased through the state.

Last year, there were 20 of us....let's see what this year brings.

9 am....Stubblefield Trail head....Trail riding to start @ 9:30. Post up if you have any questions.

FYI, we'll likely finish the day with a camp fire and some brewskies...make sure to get a full day kitchen pass, none of this I gotta leave by 2 pm . lol

and FWIW, make sure to bring an extra car key...I don't want to spend an hour trying to unlock your vehicle with the keys inside.

Sorry PimpDaub.

If you made this sun. the 15th I could stay all day, I work sat. afternoons so I will have to split @ 2:00.
Trails were really nice last sunday, I expected more mud.

If the majority wants to ride Sunday vs. Saturday, I got no problem changing the date...let's see what others say.

i will be there. The 14th is best for me since there is some sort of wedding shower going on and I will be needing to get away from that.

I could go the 15th also.

15th is on my outlook calendar and soon to be in the blackberry whenever I sync it up.

Time to knock out the cobwebs in the spokes, air up the tires, and dump the old gas into the lawnmower.

HA HA... Call this gal. Her name is Shelly. Obviously call her during the day as I believe this is her cell phone #. Not sure if she'll come out for one person, but last year we had 3 or 4 guys getting annual passes and she made a special trip up there on a Sunday morning.
