Terry Hershey aka (Ant Hills) is located along Buffalo Bayou running just South of Memorial Drive. The system runs from Beltway 8 at briarchase to Hwy.6 and the dam for the Addicks Res. The actual trail section does not cover this entire length, but I typically park around Beltway 8 in the parking lot or in the neighborhood nearby and then ride the paved path to where the trails start. Ride the various trails (different trails at different levels of the bayou bank) and then pick the path back up and ride under Hwy. 6 and up to the top of the bank at the dam. Rest for a bit, then turn around and head back to the beltway from Hwy. 6.

The path alone is a decent ride when everything is muddy since it has some slight rolling hill sections to it.

The Flintridge trails are in the Woodlands. They're super tight and flat which is great for starting out because it teaches you bike control. Also there's Cypresswood Park which has some nice trails.

Haven't been to the Anthills yet since I'm also relatively new to MTB. I mostly ride my road bike.

I just realized that Sunday is the Tour de Doughnut race so won't be able to come and play in the mud this weekend.

Cypresswood trails are pretty good, kuykendahl and cypresswood. From one end to the other it is about 12 miles of mostly trails. Nothing too difficult but definitely need a capable bike.

Cypresswood trails are all over really. The main system is at the park behind the police station on cypresswood. Then there is also the trails that start behind the YMCA on 249, as well as, some trails that you can pick up behind the HEB on Barker Cypress and 290. I think someones big plan is to eventually connect some, or all, of them together at some point in time.

I raced the gorba circuit for few years in colorado, and a couple here. I quit 3 years ago, when I bought my first street bike. I've been trying to get back into it though. I rode a month ago with lunch box and princess at memorial. It was fun, and I would go more often if I knew we had a regular crew that went out there. Its always better with more people. Kinda pushes you to go faster

You wanna get your kicked come down here to Jack Brooks.

Pachuco, if you ever wanna ride send me a PM. If I'm free I'm always down to ride. With all this rain I haven't been rising much lately though. I finally put new tires on it so I can actually climb now.

Fo sho, I thought saturday morning would be nice, but guess it's gonna rain tomorrow, and that will make memorial soggy. Maybe next weekend. But i'm always down on the weekends.

Same here, I want to hit the trails more often. I'm looking into the racing circuits here. I have old bike right now, but going to start training and upgrade to another. Add me to weekend trail ride list. Just not this weekend
