Rain will NOT affect it (Well if its outside all night in a Down pure maybe lol) Its just like a K&N Filter. I'm probally goin to try and find a "Rain Sock" for it. Which reminds me I have to go oil it before I start riding again. I have the Pipes on the way, which when I get them I am buyin a Power Commander (Nightsters are FI) and then havin it Dyno Tuned

Yeah thats why I say I am goin to look for a "Rain Sock". My bike never see's rain anyways, it sits in the garage and NOT outside and I will not ride it if it looks like Rain in the forecast. Thats why I'm not really worried about rain....It WILL hurt it IF it sits outside in a Down Pour (Never Will) The occassional water from like when I wash it to little sprinkles here and there, it wont hurt it. I just need to watch out for the Actual Heavy Rain

Actually not, they fell better then when they were angled down on the sportbike. To me the apes put my hands about shoulder height so its kinda like driving a car

I'm still not feeling the ape hangers. Personally, I think clip-ons work better if you're going for the bobber vibe. But, that's just my opinion... it's your bike.

But I love the look of this Nightster bobber:

I have a question.

My intake pulls from the top of the airbox under my gas tank.

There is a universal filter through K&N to fit the double stack carbs. Some people in europe make a little shield or box around the filter to keep away heat and water(what heat?) lol.

Even those w slip ons say the sound of the filter is overpowering w no airbox around it.

Does yours make a noticeable difference?

Yeah that guys name is slackster....he use to live in Houston. He now has a springer front end on it and stuff and I believe lives out in Las Vegas. Anyways his bike is nice.....BUT LIKE MINE ISN'T A BOBBER. When I created this thread I had the wrong impression of a Bobber. I recently talked to an old school Biker that became a really good friend. He told me that Back in the day 40's-50's that when they started making Actual Bobbers that it meant totally different. Stock Front end, Bobbed Fenders, Running Boards and long Exhaust to the rear tire etc (Actually an UGLY bike the way it was described)....If I could I would change my Thread Title because I'm not tryin to make an ACTUAL BOBBER that was known back in the day....I'm making a Custom Rat Rod apparently to the Real old School bikers that I've talked too. And by Old School Bikers I dont mean mid 40's with a beard Im talkin OG dudes in their 70's and have actually been in Biker Gangs in the 50's and 60's. SO NO IM NOT TRYIN TO MAKE A BOBBER ANYMORE BUT A CUSTOM RAT ROD WITH BOBBER TRAITS

And Drawkward, dude you have yet to say anything but negative feedback, which is cool but if you dont like it or my ideas or anything else etc. please do not keep coming back to post every other week nothing but Hostility. I want feedback but if you dont like it just post once, "I dont like it!" and dont come back anymore. I'll respect that opinion

For the "Whats a True Bobber" Statement-This is stickied on alot of the Major Bobber Forums....this should stop that arguement

http://www.cyrilhuzeblog.com/2007/10...by-sugar-bear/

And for your Bolt-Ons from dealership statement....Please list everything that I have done that was a Normal Bolt On from the Dealership (excluding the stuff that comes STOCK) I'll start the list for you
1. Apes
2. Sissy Bar (When 2-up)
3. Derby/Gas Cap Cover
4. Rocker Covers
5. Exhaust
......? Anything else (So far thats a SH*T LOAD OF BOLT ONS THAT I HAVE)
Lets make a list of the things that I HAVE MADE OR CHANGED IN SOMEWAY
1.Tank Lift
2.Wire Tuck
3.Speedo relocation
4.Coil Bracket
5.Ignition relocation
6.Headlight mount
7.Rotor Lock Mount
8.Air Cleaner
9.Crankcase Breather
10.Ape hanger wire kit/Extension
11.Painted Side Covers
12.Seat
13.Tailight mount/Lic Mount
14.Front Fender Braces
15.Sprocket Cover
16.Kickstand Relocation
17.Injection Bracket for A/C adaptor
18.New hardwired Wiring Harness most of entire Bike
I mean thats all i can think off right now, the Dealership Bolt-ons sure do out number the things I've Made in my garage with my own hands.....

This will be my last post towards you.....
You ride your MC, I'll ride mine
If we run into each other, Come to me and Introduce yourself
Give me your opinion of my Bike and Craftmanship straight to my Face (I'll then show you some Respect)
And we'll go from there!
Please do not post in my thread again UNLESS it is actually constructive to the group as a whole or it is a Informative answer of a question that pops up in this thread, Thank you
