Nah man I dont think your bein a , I understand where your comin from. My future plans are Hardtail struts so I can still switch back to shocks if I need to on a long long roadtrip or when riding with the old lady. I also want to Bob the fender a little but then I cant two-up it anymore. I might be able to keep the passenger and get away with cuttin like 2-3 inches of the back maybe?????? Other plans include a spring seat but I got to find a place to hide my ECU if I do that. I'm keeping the stock oil can for now but planning on paintin them Flat black to match the tank. Also powdercoatn some of the little pieces around the rear, flat black as well. I got some Nash 16'' Gimp hangers on the way as well (Internally Wired) I have plenty of stuff I wanna do with it, its just time and money that I have to find on the way, ya know?
But i'll keep this posted when I do things to the bike, kinda like my own little Bike Story for my future enjoyment and maybe some others enjoyment as well. But to tell you the truth its the little things I've done to the bike that makes my grin inside when someone notices or compliments on it, its just a great feeling

Well I put the stock shocks back on which are 1'' shorter then the progressives that came on the bike when I bought it. I like the look a whole lot better, sits more on the tire but the ride is definitly suckier lol but you gotta pay to play.
Progressive 412 Black shocks, up for sale!!!! Pm me

Heres some recent pics of the Nightster. Since last time I put the lower rear shocks on it, messed with the engine, changed the top half (Rockers) of Motor to Wrinkle Black. Ripped the air cleaner to pieces and fab'd up a way to bolt just the filter and housin to the bike instead of that huge cover and back plate....here's some pics!

Alright guys its 1/22/2010, I'm pretty excited about this next one I did Tonight. My pipes were kinda scratched and beat up a little so I got a burr up my a$$, ran to Autozone, picked up some Header Wrap and decided to do something bout it. I really didnt do any research on how to do it. I just knew to wear gloves and keep it wet.....and as of right now, I'm watchin it smoke its little a$$ off lol

IMO a set of clip ons on that beast would make it look 50 times better.

Also if that is a paper filter you need to change it to an oiled filter like a k&n or something, if you get caught in the rain that one will disintegrate.

Keep the fork brace and screw what anyone else says.

Well last night I internally wired my Gimps with the extension wires (Bought same GA as stock from Auto part Store) Spliced them together with connectors so I can easily Disconnect and Reconnect if need to (I threw the Stock Connectors away since they were to bulky) Then I wrapped all the wires together in Wire Plastic Wrap Tube to clean it up. Since I had this goin, I went ahead and Painted my Tank Lift Bolts and accessories a real nice Satin color to match better.

Well then tonight I started messing with the back fender (Wanted the little mudflap on the front of the Rear tire to be taken off) So I removed the back fender with all the lights, wire, harnesses and so forth. While I had those off I drilled out the rivets that were holding on the side reflectors, mudflap and Lic Plate holder. Now I have a Smooth fender. Nothin but fender (No plastic, no rivets, no nothin) Ill take pics tomorrow in the daylight.

Yeah but mine only cost about half what that v-rod does lol But if I got another sportbike kinda bike it would be the vrod with rearcontrols and drag bars (Makes you sit on it like a sportbike and gives you a better feel for control.......but yeah twice as much lol
