listen guy, you weren't there, and you don't know what speeds we were doing. This thread was for the guy that helped us out, maybe even saved a wreck for our group and many others. It was not a thread to listen to the nancies talk about speed, and noise.

does it really matter the speeds. a car in the corner would make most every biker more cautious around that bend, is that a bad thing?

A car is still very dangerous. How about a DOT-approved cone?

racerx look again you are on a motorcycle forum. Why don't you take up for riders? You are acting like white person going to a blackpanther forum and saying white power. Or a black person going to a kkk forum and saying once you had black you ain't going back. You ain't going to make any friends.

Just because someone is speeding on a bike doesn't give cause for ole farmer dell trying to kill a biker by putting gravel on the road. If he don't like bikers let him call the cops but don't kill someone for riding a sportbike like its meant to be ridden not everybody can afford the track(before you bring up track riding)

why? it's big so it's very visible, it's sitting there, a bike can safely pass. BUT it would make most bikers slow down to get around it......and there's its purpose.

a cone, people would use that as a apex marker.........

GB i also drive a car, whats your point? just cuz i ride a bike i should always take the side of stupid bikers?

If somebody wipes and hits the car for whatever reason, even unrelated, a car will still provide a lot more injury than sliding into somebody's cabbage patch.

A set of cones on the outside of the road will make most drivers alert and slow down.

Maybe you should propose this to the DOT.

Instead of plastic orange cones and markers they should now use broken down cars to mark construction, accidents, etc.

right, don't ride to fast into the corner and you'll come out unscathed.

and if you do ride to fast besides getting tore up. you'd have to pay to fix "my" car.........

You don't seem to get this. It's not about riding fast in a corner. There are a million different reasons why I can go down while riding.

this thread was about locals sabotaging a corner cuz they were sick of ricky racers.......what r u getting at? so my contention is that a car is a better deterant to speeders than invisible sand in the road.

They are creating a purposeful DANGEROUS condition to ALL motor vehicles. Gravel, nor your hypothetical parked car, does not discriminate. It will harm and maybe kill anyone who goes across it, no matter if they were speeding or not.

I've heard of hunters pouring oil on the road surface at places like Deal's Gap because the bikes scare the game away. I never saw oil in my visits though...

These people deserve a slow and tedious whoopin....

I don't get racerx. He never says nothing nice about bikers unless the bikers ride like they would a scooter.

You seem to be stuck on speed.

A lot of the accidents dont deal with it at all. So I raise your hypothetical car, yet another hypothetical situation.

I am going down the road on my 250cc Ninja and slow down for the turn. Then BAM, I get rear-ended by an old Ford farm truck which although it is year 2009, still has drum brakes all around. I fly head first into your car. Dead.

Why, because I slowed down for the corner, hitting your car which you thought it was your -mandated thing to do.
