I guess we're going to have to scout some of the roads from now on

Best bet on the street is to ride the pace that leaves you room for line adjustments in the turns. If you are running race lines and using all the road, you are going wayyy to fast for the street anyhow.

Try late apexing, and holding off turning until you can see thru the turn.. opens up a whole new world on the street at a saner pace with higer lean angles...

Right where my friend went down on 149 (this past sun), a grump old man purposely cut the grass into the street, sometime last month, so that someone would F up and go down. Luckily I had my wife on the back (I tone it down with her) and it just wasn't me on my bike cause I literaly fly though there. After I passed it I made a quick u-turn and asked him to use his mower to blow it back off the street. He gave me a go to look and said "that's what you boys get for haulin though here." I got super and had a few choice words with him but it was like talking to a brick wall. I swear some people just need to have a can opened up on their a$$. There was no way I could have cleaned it off like how that other guy did, I mean this was everywhere.

Its best to scope out (for cops) anyways, I can count three times where it saved me a ticket by just coasting though on the way up. But if it was clear all breaks loose on the way back.

The popo needs to watchin the locals at least as hard as they are watchin the bikes.
The bikes aren't hurting anybody but themselves.

Maybe, just maybe, a little slower pace would help ease tensions and spare some trips to the hospital. While I think the locals are going to far, you are big boys and know the risks.

The only time I have been on RR there was some gravel on the roads but mostly on intersections. That was on a Friday tho so the locals probably didnt set the trap yet.

Glad to hear you guys are good and that dude warned y'all. Ill keep this in mind whenn I go back there.

All I got to say is if we find out who it is....

Sec. 19.01. TYPES OF CRIMINAL HOMICIDE. (a) A person commits criminal homicide if he intentionally, knowingly, recklessly, or with criminal negligence causes the death of an individual.

(b) Criminal homicide is murder, capital murder, manslaughter, or criminally negligent homicide.

Sec. 19.02. MURDER. (a) In this section:

(1) "Adequate cause" means cause that would commonly produce a degree of anger, rage, resentment, or terror in a person of ordinary temper, sufficient to render the mind incapable of cool reflection.

(2) "Sudden passion" means passion directly caused by and arising out of provocation by the individual killed or another acting with the person killed which passion arises at the time of the offense and is not solely the result of former provocation.

(b) A person commits an offense if he:

(1) intentionally or knowingly causes the death of an individual;

(2) intends to cause serious bodily injury and commits an act clearly dangerous to human life that causes the death of an individual; or

(3) commits or attempts to commit a felony, other than manslaughter, and in the course of and in furtherance of the commission or attempt, or in immediate flight from the commission or attempt, he commits or attempts to commit an act clearly dangerous to human life that causes the death of an individual.

Sec. 19.04. MANSLAUGHTER. (a) A person commits an offense if he recklessly causes the death of an individual.

(b) An offense under this section is a felony of the second degree.

IMHO the cops should be treating that as a serious act of, at least, criminal mischief and investigating as such.
Somebody dies because of that BS and it should be treated as murder.

If they are so unhappy about people driving by too fast on the highway then they need to work with law enforcement to step up surveillance.
