First time at the Dragstrip

Man it was really fun.I had a group of 10 ppl roll out and we had a blast. We went to San Antonio Raceway. IT was free today to race!! But anyways on my 2k7 sv1000s I ran a 12.2 126mphs. all of my runs started out at 12.9 and went lower each time. I did like 6 passes. I couldn't get the launch part down right :(. But all and all it went good. One thing i didnt like is how the had the lights. It was stage one. pull up a lil bit stage 2 light. Then flash and goooooo. I would rather have like a 1,2,3,go kinda signal. Anyways just decided to share this with you guys.

The lauch in 99% of the race on a bike.. and btw.. Thats called pro tree when all three flash and go. Most of the bike guys ive seen run that way cause its what they use in competition IIrc..

What were your 60's looking like?

Ah nothing like the smell of burnt rubber and beer...I love the drag strip!
I like the 1/8 mile at HMP, fastest ever on my 600 was a 7.3 but I know I could run faster with a good launch.

A group of freinds at the drag track, by the end of the night... the shittalking has stopped and the men seperate from the boys

Thats about right the best time on my 600 was 7.4-7.5, we went to the 1/8 a few months ago. I got the pc5 w/ autotune now and i really wanna see what i can run now that i have it.

I used to try different tunes on my last bike. It wont make a difference from the stock tune on the drag strip. Your gonna make more of a difference than anything.
