Politics/Religion subsection......please?

Is there ANY way this can happen???? The off-topic is not "off-topic" at all. It's become a melee ground for political and religious activists.

What happened to the funny vids, funny pics, and crazy stories??????
When you open up that section and see nothing but the same topic stances on people's religious and political beliefs, it gets old.
Those beliefs are fine, but when the off-topic section has a dominant topic, it defeats it's purpose.

Here is a list of threads having to do with the topics from like 2 pages of off-topic. A subsection would allow everyone to express their views without over-running the OFF-TOPIC section. If this is such a popular topic nowadays it deserves it's on section!!

READ THIS: I'm not downgrading your topics on religion or politics!!!!
Simply asking they be put into a section so the topic is more focused.

I don't think that's a good idea.

Possibly religion, but politics right now are an important topic that's on everyone's mind; from the economy to health care, if you ban it from being talked about here, people will go elsewhere to discuss it.

I can't tell if that was sarcastic or not....

Just think these threads should be focused more.

Not a good idea IMO. Another forum I was on had a religion/politics subsection in OT and it seemed to work alright.

In fact I think it even still showed up on the new posts button

It'd be great if all these stupid threads on religion could be banished to thier own subsection where only the depraved may venture. But then again it'd pretty much just end up being gb talking to himself.

Why would you do away with them altogether? It doesn't show up under new posts anymore, so you have to actually go look for them. If you don't like them, you don't have to open them. Let those who want to talk about it do their thing, and those who don't never have to click the link
