Last year I was always cold due to the wind more than the temperature. Now in addition to my normal protective gear I tried out my one piece rain suit, Icon reflective vest (that is just a tad too small), mill issue field jacket liner and rubber overboots. Toasty.
Need to figure out something for my gloves. The leather was still wet from yesterday.

I have a Feildshear armored winter suit I bought last year. Cumbersome to
put on but once on it works really well. I'd like a Aerostich suit but I am too
cheap. The Feildshear is great as long as it stays cold. If it's going to get above 70 in the afternoon I sweat.

Real winter gloves are a must. Leather gets cold. Currently have Tourmaster
Polar-tex. Textile with a synthetic palm is great. Same as the suit though, if it gets much above
70 my hands will sweat.

Who's riding Friday? I would try it if it weren't my afternoon to pic up my
son.

I ride pretty much everyday, but this week broke out the First Gear riding pants to help keep the chill off my legs.

Though they are supposed to be mesh airflow for summertime riding I noticed they completely block the wind...and now I know why they are so effin hot during the summer lol

Thanks to the A* winter balaclava that Ormand recommended I was nice and comfy the whole way in.

I rode this morning... pretty cold. My mesh gloves are horrible for this weather.

I doubt I will ride Friday morning... it'll freeze over night and possibly snow here in Huntsville.

Well, it is still cold as fukc in Austin. I was freezing so I stopped at Cycle Gear and got me one of those Anti Freeze face mask things and a pair of super warm winter gloves. Made all the difference.

I also doubled up on socks, wore flannel pajamas under my pants, put the liner on my textile jacket, long sleeve shirt and I was good.

Just got in....been out all day doing stuff. I knew it was going to be freaking cold tonight but !! During the day it was beautiful and felt nice. As the night progressed 7-8ish it was cold but it wasnt too bad. Just now I rolled in from Houston, probably the worst ride Ive ridden as far as being uncomfortably cold. I had a longsleve shirt, a hoodie, a jacket with the liner in, gloves, windpants underneath my pants and thick calf high socks and I could still feel the wind. The best part of the ride was when I gassed it on the road that leads to my neighborhood. Throttle feels real good in the cold.....Just thought id let yall know that its flippin cold out tonight.
