High Beams?

Hi there, just wondering how many of ya riders ride with your high beams on at nite? I ride with mine just to make sure I don't come up on any dead animals on these backroads, but on the highway, I use my low beams. Also how many ride with led lights on? My bike has blue led's that I turn on at nite so that other people can see me better, but as I get closer to home I turn them off cause of the local LEO's. I don't want the hassle of getting pulled over for them. Finally I have a white cluster gauge, and have problem seeing the needles on them at nite cause they blend in too good with the white face, so I went to auto zone and bought those blue led lights and plug them in at nite, now it looks great, like how a black light lights up those fuzzy posters.

Motorists are flipping their highbeams at you because you are blinding them, possibly endangering THEIR driving.

I ride with my HID high beams on, day and night. I do feel a little bad about blasting the oncoming drivers' retinas with 'em, but when they high beam me back, it means they know I'm there.

Exactly... I can careless about cars getting off about my highs. As long as they can see me. And I don't know what kind of drunk drivers drive towards high beam lights. They're drunk! They can drive anywhere! Which leaves us to our point.... Ride with high beams.

Wow, this completely explains a question I had.
I toned down my response due to too much profanity.
High beams cause me physical pain. I have light blue eyes and about the fastest time to good night vision of anyone I know. Where I grew up riding around with your high beams was cause for a ticket from the LEOs.
Grow up. If you are too much of a pansy to ride without your high beams on at night don't ride.

Touche, but illegal here too. Read the bold and I shall continue to whine like a 'cause I want to vent. I know it makes no difference and no one is going to stop being an just because I don't like it.

Texas Transportation Code 541.302
Text
(11) "Roadway" means the portion of a highway, other than the
berm or shoulder, that is improved, designed, or ordinarily used for
vehicular travel. If a highway includes at least two separate
roadways, the term applies to each roadway separately.

Texas Transportation Code 547.333
(c) A person who operates a vehicle on a roadway or shoulder
shall select a distribution of light or composite beam that is aimed
and emits light sufficient to reveal a person or vehicle at a safe
distance ahead of the vehicle, except that:

(1) an operator approaching an oncoming vehicle within 500
feet shall select:

(A) the lowermost distribution of light or composite beam,
regardless of road contour or condition of loading; or

(B) a distribution aimed so that no part of the
high-intensity portion of the lamp projects into the eyes of an
approaching vehicle operator
; and

(2) an operator approaching a vehicle from the rear within
300 feet may not select the uppermost distribution of light
.

Yes I know it's illegal. I've have never been bothered by a cop about and if I ever get ticketed, I'll pay for it and accept it. I will not risk the chance of a car not seeing me. I am atleast considerate enough to turn my highs off when someone is infront of me.
