I refuse to go read all of the posts, but two things:

1) All bikes beginning in 2001 (including the ZX14) have been regulated to 186mph. The manufacturers do it to keep the European nations happy (long story). That of course is a stock motorcycle.

2) Speedos are frequently off by 8-10% with some showing errors all the way to 15% at higher speeds.

Anybody know about correction on the 02 gixr? Topped out my brothers and didn't pay enough attention to speedo. 187 - 188? He crashed it so I can't go run it again.
