At 186mph (indicated) I would be around 10kish rpms in 6th.. I'd keep the gas pinned and even though the speedometer stayed at 186 the tach would climb until my overrode my brainwaves at 11.5krpms and made me unthrottle.

BTW 55mph feels like you can step off the bike and not get hurt after something like that........ So I'm told

ive never topped out anything befor, so im not familiar with the redline and staying there to reach higher speeds.

I'd say stay there until your courage runs out, I really seriously couldn't imagine maintaining speeds like that, when I hit them it was more of a "Hey look at me, I'm king of the WORLD!!... ohshit gotta go" type of thing.. But I think that the governers on the bike would prevent you from damaging it, especially in top gear.

Running from the law is flat out dumb. Doing it was stupid, but you could have just said something like I was hauling on the freeway and hit my top speed.

for a bike to break a true 200mph... the bike needs about 200 RWHP most the bikes on this forum wont ever see a true 200mph... and most of us on this forum arent impressed at 180 indicated..which is closer to 160-165.. buy a speedo healer... and go to track... ask around what happens if you go down that fast...

your gay shut up......a double bubble, gps and rear sprocket and full exst w/ programer will put a 05-06 gsxr to 200mph....And going down at the track at 16-170 is goin to hurt just as much at least on the street the 18 wheeler behind you will run your over so it dont hurt no more....lol

Ok i was j/p go to the track!

Look at Ricky trying to spit out technical knowledge about bikes^^^ you don't need 200HP to break those speeds, just gearing bro. BTW, that's hauling !!!
