BACK FIRE

Wat's up everybody i have an 03 R1

I need help finding out what's wrong with my bike. My bike back fire a little bit when i come off the throttle in second gear only i just had a tune up change all plugs flush fluids and cleaned air filter and it still does it can someone please help me

It has a scorpion exhaust on it. When i bought the bike it was on there

If it has an aftermarket airfilter (BMC/K&N etc.) along with the Scorpion exhaust then it may be running a little lean.
You will either have to get a Power Commander and install the map for you situation or learn to live with it.

my backfire ALOT!!! like gun shots, loud as fck v twins with no muffler. check for exhaust leaks... one of my springs are broke, front bank's pipe is kinda loose cause a whole lotta backfire

Chopping the throttle too fast can send unburned fuel into the pipe where it will detonate and cause a backfire. I can make mine do it buy going full open and then full closed under hard acceleration.

Do nothing enjoy the sound. Happens on most any bike especially if your a little rich. Also can happen if you exhuast seals have air leaking.

It could be many things but if something were really wrong you will know.

Usually what Was just mentioned above is normally the case
