Heres the first link I found, dunno if pricing is accurate or not for the general market, gotta remember this is someones website not the official lorance site.

Lorance has been around for years, after I learned to read an aerial map I got to learn the joys of piloting a plane with the old lorance system.. But they've come a long ways with the development of GPS technology.

You haven't heard of them because Garmin flooded the market =)

but worth checking into, I'll post more links, and if your serious I'll talk to my sis about special in-house pricing..

I'd either stick it on top of the gas tank or on top of the triple.

They make a mount for the tank where y ou take out two of the bolts for the gas cap and replace them with longer bolts that hold on the mount, I know they have those for video cameras but dunno about gps.

Above the triple would be easy to set up too though guess it depends on the size of the unit and how easily I could mess with it while riding and still be 1/2 way safe about it.

thats standard for all gps systems... the old old old lorance used an 'a to b' system that was just a nightmare... but all gps's do what your talking about now

I have a Garmin 2620 and It mounts nicely when I'm using my tank bag. I need to get a motorcycle mount for it, though.

There are soo many portable gps devices out there. I'd check consumer reports and see if they've tested out any of the recent models. I know they have a motorcycle unit made by "tom-tom" that mounts to either your bar end or a custom mount.
