Post up his name and the phone # to shop so we can call and harass him. I have plenty of change in my work truck to call him all day long from a payphone and make his life a living ...hard to get any work done when the phone is ringing all day with people calling you a POS.

You both made a mistake. You are talking to a painter about pricing instead of the estimator or owner and do not have a repair order for the work being performed. Sounds like a back door deal. If the owner doesnt know about what is going on the painter was stealing $ most likely. You CAN"T spend anothers money without getting authorization! Should have got an estimate on paper. If they wanted more they would have to ask for it. Not just do what they want. Hard lesson for both of you.

if it's a small shop BBBwill probably be of no use at all. If you got an estimate, this would be no problem. If there isn't one, maybe you could try filing a report that you didn't ok the work. When he fails to produce a signed workk order, you can say he's holding your property unlawfully.

Why do you y'all act surprised when you bring your stuff to an AUTO-body shop and they screw your up.....They don't know which end of the tank gas goes in or comes out of.....another words they usually have no idea what the they are working on! They treat your stuff just like the front bumper they just painted for a Hyundai. Would you bring your M/C into Jiffy lube for an oil change? Oh well....Live and learn....Hopefully

small claims court is like $50. or so, its worth every penny to be a thorn in his side, he will have to show up and take time from work to do so.
notify BBB asap.

It is a lost cause.... trust me you have nothing to gain, and the BBB cant do chit with out paper (any documentation)... my best advice to you is get on every forum every FREE form of public access site and out the guy,,,

then get your A$$ on to craigs list, and or e bay and find yourself a cheep tank...

Move on casue it is GONE, i hate to be negative but really... I mean really... is that $100.00 dollar tank really worth your time, and this A$$clown is probably going to sell it on craigs list anyway once you get out of his hair.

trust me BBB wont help and it just isnt worth the money you will spend in the long run.

Get out now or you could spend way more time dwelling over a meesley amount of money, when you could be riding down the road already throwin that guy the bird, and enjoying your bike.

That begs the question, does he even have the tank anymore? Where's the proof that you left it w him?
Best of luck.

Buck.. :-) Make sure you get some paperwork from Tony, ie a "quote" etc. You should be able to use it to show how the other place is trynig to rip you off... might also see if he can recommend one or two other places to get 'quotes/estimates' from.

plus send the douche bag (Ayala) an e-mail stating you don't want the tank anymore because he is trying to rip you off. That should also dismiss the "storage" fees in court.

BBB is useless. For some reason people think that they are some agency with authority. Its a private entity that businesses join and pay a yearly fee. In exchange, they endorse the business.

Dont bother with them, hey are a scam worse than your pant guy.

Precisely how are they a 'scam'?

For stores that are listed, it can be useful in resolving some conflicts/disputes and can help people aviod businesses with bad history.

I take the scam comment back. I dont feel like going in depth about this now and going into another off topic argument.

Sorry.
