The Spot, Galveston

Anyone ever been there? Probably gonna ride out there tomorrow since it looks as though it is gonna be beautiful. My first time riding out to Galveston actually. Thought i would take in the day and watch some football there since their site says they have the Sunday ticket.

Anyone know of any road conditions or construction I may need to consider. Live in the galleria probably gonna take 45 S in then HWY 6 out and visit my parents out in Alief in the afternoon.

Blue crab- cow crowing creek. The Spot is pretty cool. Construction isn't a prob. Streets are in good condition. Blue Water Route is some small turns, long slow sweeps and long straights. There's gravel here and there, but usually visible from a good length away. Get yourself a map, pick a route and you should be good.

There are TVs inside on the 1st floor but realize that place is packed on weekends. You may need some luck getting a seat near the TV and hearing it

Dippin Dots is just down the street lol

There are TV's but they are tiny and sparse unless you get the spot under them it's a waste of time to watch football there.

thanks for to everyone for the input. The ride was great. Day was beautiful! The spot was packed and mostly with cruiser types which i don't have a problem with but they also had a band out on the patio and i was more in a relaxed mode.

Just walked the beach, read some, listened to music and relaxed. Ended up going to Joe's Crab shack and they had a TV showing the Titans getting their handed to them by the Patriots.

The ride back on HWY 6 to visit my folks in Alief wasn't all to bad. It was a bit longer but i enjoyed it more cos i was just in that relaxed state that i am sure 45 wouldn't have offered.

I actually liked the waves on the causeway! haha. The sky had those reddish pink tones as the sun descended and the waves were kinda relaxing.

One question i had was... Is revving your engine code for something or a hello to another biker? I had parked my bike on the seawall and i wasn't with anyone and there were a couple of bikers that passed by and did that. I didn't know if it was a hello or a douche thing that other bikers do to basically pound their chest and show off their bad assness.
