, when i was 5 i fell off of my bicycle and broke my femur. was in traction for 20 days then in a body cast from my belly to the tips of both of my feet for 3 months. when they took the cast off i could'nt move any muscles due to atrophy. took me a while to walk again.

Forgive me MH; but I read the first page and Im sure I got the jist of it already.

very good post, and MaxG's as well.

Before you had hung up the saddle you should have ridden w us and the Forest Gnomes up North. U get the good, bad and ugly all within the same ride.

I mentioned before: the essence of riding is defying gravity by supplementing inertia, defying the concerns of loved ones for the therapy of adrenaline.

Get killed walkin' yer doggie!

PS.
Respect is earned, not given. You act a fool on the road by disrespecting cagers and cops, then expect to get the same in return.

Thanks for the squid vid. Benny Hill music was the perfect touch.

Good Post.
Interesting to see the responses.

Point is STUPID HURTS.

For those that take sport bike riding very seriously (Sorry I'm not that serious about it) and have years of experiance and high skill levels, the post dose not provide anything new.

For them it is a passion to a ZEN like experiance, they wear the gear and respect the situation all the time.
(Yes accidents happen it goes with the territory)

For the noobs - STUPID HURTS

FYI not every one is wired to ride a bike really well, stay in your comfort zone.
Kind of like not every one can play a piano either, etc.

Good Luck.

Welcome to MH. Loved the vid.

We all know the risks and choose to what extent we will minimize those risks.

you know i read the thread and lost my train of thought about half way thru it. So why dont everyone not go outside, stay in your house, pad the walls, dont drive anywhere. ANYTHIG you do can be dangerous. From driving to the local store to taking a trip. There will always be the idiots texting, on the phone, putting makeup on, eating etc. etc.. WE DO THIS BECAUSE WE LOVE THE SPORT. Or atleast i do. I have been on bike since i was 5. I dont think i will stop riding anytime soon either. So for you to join just to post a thread like this is STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah and next time you are on the road and break 65, check your fvcking self too. You law abiding idiot
