I'm sure the economy had a hand in it. If he lets the smoke settle and make plans for going out on his own I bet someone would back him with the finances to get going again sometime in the future. Maybe he will actually put Rotax engines in his machines and drop the price a little. I bet there would be better sales.

Drop what price?
when I got my 07 xb9r I got it for 7800 out the door, it was brand new, and ran like a champion, as well it sounded like nothing else.

People give buell a bad name because of the association with harley, but they are good bikes and their community is a good group of dedicated people.
As for parts, plenty of companies make replacement parts for them, even older models no longer made that are affordable. For the 10,000 miles or so I had mine there were no major problems at all.

I love my honda, but I miss my buell, it wasn't your everyday cookie cutter bike everyone has.

So far i havent seen most people even HAVE the same bike for 7 years. not sure why some are worried about support for the first 7 to be honest.

More than happy to buy locally when a local dealer is willing match the price an online retailer offers. Otherwise, for the exact same product, unless I need it right then and there, I am going where it's cheaper, which quite often is the internet.

Went to the wrong store... Traffic on a Friday afternoon stopped me from driving over to the store in the 11 mpg hummer . but from what they told me on the phone they have like 18 bikes in different colors.

true.. true.. everybody talks about being loyal to the local dealers but I’ve yet seen a dealer care enough to be loyal to the customers. reading, the buell forums, people have been getting them for waaaay less than mancuso. in dallas, people are getting otd prices of 5500 – 6000. if mancuso can match that I’ll be more than happy to buy locally…

Shoot... I would get the 1125r... It seems like a sweet bike and from what i gathered no complaints. The fairing deal everyone complain about normally grows on you anyway...
