questions about chinese fiddy

I traded a xbox360 for a slightly used chinese 50 for my son to learn to ride. Only problem is he's not tall enough to ride it yet so I was wondering if I could turn it into a stunter 50 (he lacks at least 2" from standing flat footed so I think I"ll get him an electric razor first. It looks like a honda 50 with a few differences.

This bike has front and back brake on the bars from the factory, no controls on the pegs, transmission is a single gear, centrifugal clutch. Electric start. Seems like it does at least 30mph but feels very underpowered on take off. Everything on it works fine and it will haul me around pretty good.

Anyhow, is this model worth jacking with? I can take some better pictures of it at lunch if necessary.

It was a used 1st gen non-hdmi 360, I don't think it was a bad trade. Really I bought it so my son could learn to ride.. too bad he's a little too short right now.

My 2 cents.. You can stunt just about any bike. Now the only real issue you may have with that bike will be quality. Parts will break easier and things will loosen up easier becuase of the abuse especially from a full size adult rider. That why everyone talks about stunting a honda 50 or even a yamaha ttr-50.

I've beat the out of and have fully abused my 2002 xr50 and it still cranks up and runs just as smooth as the day i got it. I've flipped it, crashed it, looped it, accidently set it on fire twice(funny story) and the list keeps going.

If you want something you and your kid can ride for years to come, it would be worth looking into a honda 50.

Here's a better pic... as far as the training wheels go let me know what your lookin to get on em, I havent a clue. I was thinking about getting him an electric razor till he gets a bit taller. But yea, I can see myself destroying the bike or hurting myself stunting it, probably not the best idea and it's a nice little bike.

To make that bike better I would go with what ever bmx bars fit on it and get a KLX 110 rear shock and maybe a better clutch lever.

It looks like it is assembled wrong. The front forks are switched around and facing the wrong way. Yeah the more I look at it the more wrong it looks. Would change the handling if they were wrong and I wouldnt put it past the shop that put it together to do it wrong.

Just checked on the mfr's site and they are backwards on the bike pictured too, so maybe they are right.

Would a stock honda seat lower the seat height any?
Forks

Yes a stock honda seat will lower the sat height. I rode one that looked just like yours and we ended up changing the things I mentioned.
