buying a bike with ticket against?

I was looking at a bike, private sale, clear texas title however he says he has a ticket that occured onthe vehicle. is that a problem to purchase or does the ticket need to be cleared first?

I dont think a ticket goes with the bike, I think its on the driver at the time, not certain tho???

When you register the bike the registration will change and the ticket should no longer be linked to the bike.

Just like renting a car. Who ever rents the car during that time period (or owns the car) is responsible for paying it.
When you transfer the title it's obvious to the state that you are a new owner
