i love my f4i. it is my first bike though I have ridden too many other bikes to list (spent a year as a tech at a dealer shop). its reliable, comfortable and fast enough and handles well. the r6 feels sportier to me, and has a slightly more aggressive seating position. I am a huge honda fan though for their long term reliability.

both the f4i and r6 are pretty different bikes.. is this going to be a commuter bike.. maybe a track day bike.. the only one that can choose the right bike is you.. go ride them see what feels right. every bike is different im a yamaha guy but then again I have a honda both are great machines at what they do..good luck

why do you want to leave such a dependable bike behind, you say you have been riding for 15 years but yet your going to drop your loyalty to your Suzuki?
In you post you state NEWER only what did your SV do wrong?

you will be back... O yes you will be back, and you can even say i told you so.

I have owned an sv and they are great bikes very solid.. and with that being said gsxrs are also great bikes and with the abundance of them you can pick one up probably cheaper than the rest... I don't blame you from wanting to go from a twin to an inline but be careful they are a totally different animal... miles do matter to an extent with valve adjustments and proper maintenance I wouldn't heisitate.. just do some research on each to make the best decision.

I have had 2 gsxrs and 1 r6 and we won't even go there about my first bike, but here is my .02...
I loved my r6 (it was on 06), but lower rpms, it was a little blah...Also, if you ever plan on being a passenger on your own bike, or taking passengers, the seat was hard...
I loved my 02 grsx600 (can't really find anything to complain about) Maybe...hmm, nope...nada
I LOVE my 06 gsxr1k, it is really nimble and I have plenty of power in reserve
I rode a buddy of mine's f4i, it seemed like a nice bike, but I couldn't get past the hard seat
Good luck with your decision. But definitely ride all of them first and see which one you are most comfortable on (bc you don't wanna be riding with a sore tushie or wrists

im stuck in the middle on this one...i own both a cbr and a R6...needless the say i like my cbr more ONLY because i have a ton more seat time on it and its also my trackbike....The R6, i havent had a chance to really test her out so im still on the fence when it comes to which one is "better"

but what i can say is...my R6 is alot smoother then my cbr...but so far the cbr seems to respond better to my inputs....but hey wtf do i know lol

I cant stand the way an R6 feels. I have been on many of them too. I have only ridden one F4I. I would get the honda. I would look for one with lower miles though.

Honda is very dependable but I don't know about the f4i so I say go with the r6.. Or a 600rr.
My 636 has been great to me so you might want to get a kawi..?
Just test ride as many bikes as you want see which one you like
