OMG! I am so happy to hear that she is relatively ok. She is such a sweetheart. I was rear ended back in 02 doing about 50 and that was painful enough. Hey DMC, let her know if she needs anything, I am here for her

She's the one with all the superheroes on her bike, right? Shyt.. She must have some kind of super-power of her own. I still can't get over the fact that she was hit from behind at 70 and made it out relatively unscathed. Her guardian angels were on point.

Heres the facts... (lol)

Sandra was headed out to HMP last night(Sat) about 7:30pm. We have just gotten her home from the hospital now and she is sleeping well. She wants to thank all her visitors as they are keeping her in good spirits. She has not yet seen her bike.... Thank you MH and Nu Breed for all the support you guys have given us!!!

She was on the beltway headed towards HMP just past CE King Parkway when she was hit from the rear. The roads are under heavy construction and all stories obtained are exactly the same, even from her. She was doing about 50 when the car that struck her was traveling about 80mph. Traffic was heavy and the guy that hit her was suspected to be on the phone. She WAS seen with all lights on. (White LEDs and tail light) Even the "very apologetic" driver said he saw her it was just too late to slow down when he hit her. SHE WAS WEARING FULL GEAR!!! From point of impact Sandra estimated she was about 15 foot away when she skidden on her stomach. She was in oncomming traffic and a few gentleman pulled her to the curb. She was semi on her feet by this time, but could not sit back down. She was on a tailgate when I arrived about 7:45-7:50p. We could not even see her bike at the time. Her bike was actually about 70 foot further on the road stuck in the mud. Windshield, spedo, and front farring stayed where Sandra stopped skidding. Sandra was taken to LBJ ER immediately and her bike was released to us. The ONLY salvageable peices on the bike is the exhaust pipe and front tire. I'm sure pictures will come later. The cop was amazed how someone could be standing if the had been driving that bike. The driver that hit her is insured. He was very shaken up. We are all thankful that she is ok. In ER they imaged everything head to toe with dye "in and out." She has three small abrasions on her left hand and wrist. Her right knee is pretty scratched but the brusing is the most severe leaving little movement and tons of stiffness. She is able to walk. A lil scuff across the belly on rt side and a lil bit bigger scuff on left flank. Truely amazed that she is even alive much less un scaved! Again she is at home now, and all visitors are WELCOME!!!
We love you BabyGirl! Love Mom, Dad, and Brandon

Glad she is OK with just minor injuries. Give her a pat on the back for dressing for the fall. Glad to hear the guy stopped so she won't be financially hit too. Sounds like a better outcome than one could reasonably expect for being hit and going down like that. She was very fortunate in her misfortune.

Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

also, i find it very refreshing that the driver not only stopped, but was "shaken up" over it. and was fully insured to cover her expenses. thats great! finally a story involving responsible adults.

wow... getting hit from behind sucks... been there... its good that they had insurance, it will cover the retail of your bike and TT&L, any hospital bills you have, lost work time, and of course pain and suffering... Glad your ok, I always check my mirrors... don't see how come ppl take them off.
