Yeah, I was looking at a bandit 400 as well, decided to go with a vtwin bc i liked the smooth power delivery of our MSF bikes.

And apparently, on the 400, you gotta keep it above 9k for any kind of power/uphill/ etc. I live in the HILLIEST place possible so i thought that would suck.

*facepalm* already had to power out of a possible t-bone.

guy coming out of a parking lot, I was going down a one lane/one way street, i let off and feather both brakes to see if he had seen me, turns out he didn't, too late to brake, good thing i had downshifted to 2nd, and rode through just as he started to turn.

lame. need exhaust now... lol

also honked the horn when i was trying to signal, LOL.

that's the kinda thing that happens ALL the time, some will tell you to always gas it through a situation like that because you never know what's going on behind you, others will say to just ride too fast on one wheel for them to hit you .... I'd say just do what you were doing and you'll be fine - PAYING ATTENTION (what the guy in the cage isn't doing)

Hilly is better than flat terrain like Houston, hehe! You have roads I wish were at my back doorstep! (Well, for Texas roads) Enjoy it.
Congrats on the bike!
