my fathers best friend is the Purchasing agent for Exxon/Mobil

and he always gives us a heads up a month or so before prices are going up..... thing is with all the money they make fact remains they only make about 3-4cents per gallon at the pump.. Supply and demand is the bigger battle right now, our fearless leader being an oil man himself wont do anything about it and afaik most of the lines are woned by Exxon/Mobil so boycotting them wont drive any prices down. and with their profits in the billions it surely wont hurt them

I'm sure the fat-cat execs are sitting in their board room saying,

"Gentlemen.. Good news again. We're seeing record profits. We've increased the supply and inscreased our prices again. The sheeple are STILL willing to pay for it without complaint. I think we wait 3 weeks, and hit 'em again. We'll continue this trend as long as possible. When the the complaints get to loud, we'll back off the prices a bit, once they settle down, we increase again!"

That's my overly simplified view.
That's about it, the libs. and dems. need to stop blocking more up to date refineries being built instead of the 30 yr old klunkers causing more polution that their complaining about in the first place.

That was before new corporate documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission that revealed Raymond's retirement deal and his $51.1 million paycheck in 2005. That's equivalent to $141,000 a day, nearly $6,000 an hour. It's almost more than five times what the CEO of Chevron made.

I disagree a 2 day loss of revenue country wide or world wide would hurt the oil companys.the hardest part is uniteing the people.government frowns apon that and thats why the people are scared. But once united the people are stronger thats a known fact.

The only way to increase density and increase volume is to add mass. Are you telling us that refineries have figured out how to create matter?

Naw just thougth it ws funny the way media demonizes everybody against each other and then people need to be united. I'm already don't use Exxon mobil. Can't say anything about subsidiaries, and trickle down products, cause I don't have a way to know. And ya'll?:icon_bigg

let me explain rising gas prices in a different way maybe you see it this way to.Ok Its like were being lifted by your feet by a bully at school, and he is shaken all of your milk money he will do it every day wanting more and more every time until you have nothing for yourself.then you have to stand up to him bust his in the mouth then he respects or fears you then and leaves you alone.

..no, refineries decrease the density of the fluid, and hence create more gallons of fluid out of one barrel of oil. bdmpastx just messed up and said they increase the density.
