so in otherwords it is stolen...the bike didn't belong to your friend, it belonged to his finance company. he couldn't afford it anymore so instead of giving it back to the bank he sold it. so to cover that fact up one of them shaved the frame. no offense, but your friends are idiots. there's so many things illegal with what they did i don't even know where to start.

Well, if there was a title that was lost, I assume that it was paid for. He never mentioned that it was in default, only that he didnt have the money to deal with the title.

I have a track bike like that. I got it from a friend but he couldnt find the title and since its just a track bike, I am mot worried to much about it. I have had the numbers checked to make sure its legit and it is. Just dont want to deal with a title if it will never see the street.

Not flaming towards you but ok, lost title... it happens... BUT no numbers on the frame???

There's really no way to even check if the bike is in fact hot or not. Even giving the benefit of the doubt here, what happened to the VIN?

In today's world the only thing people are going to automatically think when they see this ad is "STOLEN BIKE FVCKERS!!!!!"

I am just going by what he told me. I dont know the friend who sold it to him. I have only known him for about a month so i just know that he told me that he bought it from his friend and that it didnt have a title. I dont know what happen to vin. I never bothered asking him because I have not ridden with him in a while. I rode with him about 3 times and thats it have not seened or heard from him at all.
