Accident 4/14 --- 1960 in Humble

I just learned that the riders name, that was killed in Humble Friday (bike versus 18-wheeler), was Pat Poplin ? Rode a stretched GSXR 600.....
In case someone recognizes the name.

I live near Humble, but I didn't hear about this one. Where did the accident occur?

Heard it was an accident with an 18 wheeler. Some of the guys were riding up to 150mph.

Not sure if it's true ... heard it at the barbershop.

I got stuck in traffic because of the accident and saw the carnage. It took me an hour to go like 2 miles on 1960 that night. Looked like the 18 wheeler was making a left turn across traffic into a shopping center and the bike ran into the side of it about where the back wheels are on the trailer. Couldn't even make out what type of bike it was but there were pieces everywhere.

R.I.P.
