The girl had just rolled out of bed to go to work at walmart. The cops did a field sobriety test on her. She passed. She got a ticket for failure to control speed.

I don't underside the question of what side of alvin I am in. Alvin is pretty small but I would have to say the good side of town.

Glad everything is smoothe like butter man, that accident could of been hella worse. Gear is very important, cause u don't know when ur gonna run into someone that doesn't see u, or what ever their excuse is. I think some poeple try to hit us and run us off the road cause they see how much fun a bike is, lol, and they don't have one. just my 2 cents, good luck with getting a new bike man. I would try and buy ur old bike back if u could, just so u could fix it back up, and still have a brand new bike to ride on.

I don't know if the rear end is fixable. The swingarm does not move and the superhawks swingarm bolts to the engine case. I don't know if the engine case if fubared or not. As far as gear goes, I am with you on that. I get a lot of strange looks when I am riding in full leathers. But I already have a bad arm from a car wreck that concrete took skin and meat. That arm cost me $67,000. I know what concrete can do to the body. Plus I have a pregnant wife and two kids I have to think about. Better safe than sorry. I love riding, but I have a healthy respect for what can happen.

another reason why I always sit at a light with my bike in gear and hand on clutch obviously. when you hear that stuff coming, you check traffic and gas it on out of the way. Thankfully I never had to do it yet, but hopefully I'll be ready if I need to be.

Let me tell you that the whole thing happened real fast. I think me starting to roll helped take some of the impact out.

Those are the exact words that come out my mouth when I first read the thread. Glad you're ok.

yep, people always say "I would have done...." but real world, this type of stuff happens in a blink, you were aware enough to lesson the blow by your reaction, good job and you live to tell the story

should be lesson learned by all riders, pay attention of whats going on around you at all times.

Thanks guys...and girls. Nice to have support like this in our community. The chain adjusters are definetly mashed in. that is all just the rear damage. The fairings are scratched, bent brake lever, bar end rubbed down, engine case ground down, foot brake lever bent under as well as obvious exhaust and suspension damage my poor poor twin steed.
