Mystery Track in Texas

I don't know how to post pics but, if you look at Google Maps just south of Uvalde, Tx., off of RR 117,there is an oval track about 2 miles across and about 3 miles long.
It must be some sort of test track as it encloses several other smaller tracks and an airstrip.
Anybody know what it is and when can we go ride on them?

Check it out, it's pretty amazing when you realize the size of the facility.

Uvalde Proving Grounds

Batesville Road, P.O. Box 480

Uvalde, Texas 78802-0480

Phone +1 (8 30) 5 91 - 70 00

Welcome to the Uvalde Proving Grounds

Uvalde, Texas (USA) is located approximately 83 miles west of San Antonio (location of nearest international airport) and approximately 70 miles northeast of the Mexican border. Situated in the heart of the “wintergarden area” Uvalde is also known as the Honey Capital of the World. The Uvalde Proving Grounds was built in 1959 by General Tire. In 1997 Continental AG replicated the Contidrom‘s main wet grip circuits at the Uvalde test site.

Currently, there are eleven different test courses including a 3-lane 8 1/2 mile high speed oval, various asphalt, cement, gravel, dirt and off-road rock courses as well as numerous high performance and special test courses. The 5000-acre Uvalde Proving Grounds is situated approx. 7 miles south of Uvalde on Batesville Road (FM 117). With the state’s year round warm climate, the test area is ideal for the performance of actual on-vehicle testing for summer tires.

Dry Handling Road Course

The dry road course portion is a 1.07 mi (1.72 km) asphalt course, featuring a 1,200 ft (366 m) long straightaway, curves, turns, and bends of various radii. Tires are tested for dry handling performance to evaluate varying designs and constructions. Vehicle construction and component evaluations are conducted on this course.

Sounds nice.. short but nice. I'm willing to bet its pretty well maintained.

Well, thanks for all the pleasant responses. I never realized that Google could actually look things up for you.
Since I was at work at the time I didn't have time to research the internet for the answer so I thought I would share an amazing facility with my MH brothers. Being told how to look it up was so thoughtful and helpful. Thanks again.

Is there an emoticon for flipping people off? lol

Dang, you guys are brutal!

Have to admit this one was funny though...

The track doesn't look like much for bikes though, might be fun in a high horsepower car though on that oval! The road courses look kinda boring... of course the satellite image may be what's doing that.
