Yep. I have them all scanned and waiting for a place to put them on the CMRA's website. If you have anything pre 1988, I'd like to have it!

Good stuff! Keep 'em coming! PM me for my direct contact info, if you would, please. I'd love to get your stuff in the CRRC/CMRA archives!

By the way, Kevin loves to trip back in memory lane about this old stuff. He laughs harder and makes more fun of the old days than any "vintage" racer I talk to.

Hey Mike Ryan. Will you call me. Wes Sportcycles OF Houston. 281-370-4400. That pic of Keven on the grid. I was in that race because he beat me by a wheel length. Klaus built me a sl 350 flat tracker and my battery went dead down the front straight. I was hoping you might have some more pic's of Aquafest. Thanks..

TWS (Texas World Speedway) Endurance 1987

TWS (Texas World Speedway) Endurance 1987- Bike 80 Cycle Exchange Racing, which was John Tauzin (servicing bike) and Me (Ed Jones) in the Suzuki shirt. If I recall, this was our first endurance race. If memory serves me well, bike 56 was Team Banzai- and I think that is James Deister on board. Team Banzai would get a Hurricane later. During the 1988 season we would also have a photo journalist by the name of Rick Guy, and a new comer to roadracing by the name of Joe Prussiano join our team. In July of 1988 we lost John in a racing accident at Gateway in St. Louis, and another young talent by the name of Terry Exum was lost at TWS (Texas World Speedway) in the same month.

1988 TWS (Texas World Speedway) Endurance

No LeMans starts- Hurricane Row! #3 Team Banzai, #28 Cycle Exchange Racing- John Tauzin on board, and #52 was Carl Koehler-a friend and new racer, taking our advice getting track time before the sprints on Sunday. No track days back then!

More 1988 TWS (Texas World Speedway) Endurance

# 3 Team Banzai and #28 Cycle Exchange Racing (John Tauzin on board) fighting it out down the front straight at TWS (Texas World Speedway). Notice the lowers missing. This was a recurring problem for us, and ultimately resulted in new body work and paint to help our scorer locate us easily- before the days of transponders, required belly pans, and back protectors!

Road Atlanta 1987

John Tauzin at the GNF's- We had planned to run the endurance race on Saturday but I hadn't healed from having my knee scoped. John ran "B" and "C" class races aboard the Hurricane and a GSX-R he had just taken in at his shop in Shreveport, La.

Me tucking the front-end exiting the chicane before the NASCAR turn. Can't think of a better way to break in new body work and paint!

Loved riding here! Me on my white Ninja 600 #258. If memory serves me, #737 was Greg Abbott on a cool 2 stroke.
