Im drag racing on a 2ct. I know its not the same, but it hooks like a slick once its warm. It has amazing grip. Its all about the psi.

i always use take offs and throw them on the R6 for street use...so far ive ran both 002's and 003's and both have held up perfect for me, minus the excessive wear in the middle its all gravy

oh and part of peoples problems with the using the race tires is thay put waay to much air in the tires. you need to run maybe a couple pounds more than race pressure. not 35 and 35 or 40 or what ever.

I dont have the confidence in street tires to run them on the track at my pace.

One of the problems is that I would run the same tires on the track / street, seems like the heat cycles would sacrifice some of the grip. Who knows how many spirited rides I would do between trackdays....

Mr. Richards, shoot me a pm with how much you would want for the rims.
I might make TWS (Texas World Speedway) if I can get another set and some fresh rubber.
Jeremy, did you use your same tires from the street on the track?
not the exact same tires, but yes i run the same brand/size on the street and track.

when my track tires are done, i usually sell them or put them away for storage incase i need a spare street tire maybe.

but i normally buy a new set of DOT tires for the street as well.

This is a really good point. Cold pressures on my race tires when on the street are 29 f and 27 rear or there abouts if I'm going to be riding spirited.

Since its the end of the season, after listening to the opinions / advice, I'm thinking of giving the BT-003RS a shot. then maybe next season try out the BT003R

I appreciate all of the input.

Just got off the phone with John, looks like I'll be servicing my suspension before I do anything. He was very informative and helpful. Man knows his , end of story.
