Texas troop send-off ride

Patriot Guard Ride that is a send off for troop deployment on Oct 4, Sunday.

Deployment for 900 troops (72nd Combat Brigade) on 10/4/09 Largest deployment of Texas Troops since WWII
Minute Maid Park will host this deployment and the entire city of Houston is invited to honor the troops.
PGR will have reserved seats, roped off parking & will set up a flag line. Expect this to be a huge event.
These are the same reservist that logged more than 1,641,000 man hours in the IKE relief effort.
Staging: 10 am. Staging area: 1300 Dallas Laz Public Parking ( corner of Dallas & Austin streets).
Briefing: 11a.m. KSU: 11:15 a.m.



I'm thinking about doing this, anyone else want to go?

I will already be there (in the ceremony). So I cannot join the ride, but if you go out after let me know where. I am planning on riding up on my bike. Have fun with the ride.

I didn't get any pictures of the PGRs 'cause I was marching, but it was awesome to see so many riders braving the rain to stand there with flags. I and many others really appreciated you guys out there. I have some pics of pre march and ceremony that I could post up, but they are non-moto related so I don't know.
I did thank some of the PGRs afterwards and they were giving away wrist bands to the soldiers. Very cool outfit. I may have to see about missions.
