Arrow Spies or Haga??

So who do you want to see win it??
Haga: the man who has given us so many years of viewing pleasure and come so close so many times
or
Spies: who has set this championship alight in his first year and pretty much rewritten the rookie rulebook with an incredible season given he was new to the bike, the tyres and the circuits

Ducati: with the booming 1198 and it's long history of WSBK dominance
or
Yamaha: who have never won the biggest prize in production based racing and in the 2009 R1 have produced an innovative masterpiece.

I'm losing sleep over it (not really!)

Duh! Spies FTMFW!!!

In all seriousness, Speez should do well at the next two events; I think he's got an overall better chance than Haga does. We'll see!

i kinda gotta go for spies on this one, you know, texas boy and all. though you make a good argument for both haga and the ducati. haga is always so humble and gracious even when he wins so hes pretty easy to root for in my book.

but still. GO SPIES!!!!

I know I know, but Spies has time on his side whereas how much longer are we going to be able to watch Haga at work?
I'm so torn,
I've become a huge fan of Spies over the season and would like to see him wrap up his rookie year with the WSBK championship, same with Yamaha and the effort they've put in over the years with the OWO1, R7 and R1.
But Haga has given so much

I would love spies to put it in the books and move on... but then again Haga has been there and so close.... either way we all know we are looking for bigger and better things for our texas boy.. I wish they would of waited till the off season to announce his moves and what he has signed for it almost seems like nobody cares what happens the rest of this year and wants to see what his future brings.. Anyways good luck Spies and Haga make is interesting the best rider will prevail...

Very torn about this one, I like Spies a lot but this may be the very last train for Haga.

Haga deserves a championship no doubt, but I'd rather see Elbowz on the top step when it's all said and done.

Grinchy, I feel exactly the same way. Nitro Nori is a legend. Always there or thereabouts. If he doesn't win it, then no bother. He is probably a Newcastle supporter like me.

Either way, they are both worthy champions.

Its heartbreak for Haga this season Grinchy! Spies is going to take the championship.

I agree with you that Haga has provided so many years of exciting racing, has been a very tough competitor and yet still a very humble and nice guy. He is also very very talented riding a motorcycle, and is always exciting to watch.

This year is Spies though, To come out in your rookie season on a new bike and put down the performances that he has, it is his year. In exception to a few unlucky events (running out of gas, and Fabrizio) Spies has dominated. If those two races would have ended like they were going before the bad luck, The championship would be all but wrapped up for Spies at this point.

I do admit though, after this year when Spies wins the championship and heads to MotoGP, I would like to see Haga come back and win the championship.

Spies deserves it, GO TEXAS!!!!

Haga has had a great career, and deserves a win. I just have to go with the American.

I'd not be upset if Haga wins. He's a helluva racer in his twilight years. And still a nice guy to boot.

I'd like to see it go down to the final lap of the final race.
Spies duck in under Haga on the last turn and then roll off the throttle before he crosses the checkered, giving Haga the win.

Okay, I watch too many movies.

Okay, I watch too many movies.
The sequel to that movie would be Spies losing his Yamaha contract, seat in MotoGP and becoming a track day instructor.
