That new VFR is going to be ground breaking with the multi cylinder cut off, dual clutch tranny & auto/manual shift modes.

Lets just hope it does'nt cost as much as a gold wing.

Looks pretty cool. I am not so sure about the idea of an automatic transmission bike though. Something tells me that if someone is to lazy to drive standard they shouldn't be on a bike.

I'll definitely purchase one if it ever get to the US but I seriously doubt Honda will bring another naked here.

Its funny how they only show the upshifts but no down shift in the auto mode. I guess the smooth shifts goes away??

Honda confirmed the VFR a month or two ago (note, not confirmed in the us though). Here is their website for it.

I wonder if they'll have the option of a manual transmition... If they do I may consider upgrading!
I really don't like that automatic tranny, on this bike that is!

Mmmm. Maybe I'll wait a year or so for someone else to pay the new bike depreciation penalty and see what kind of kinks they have to work out.

Could be the right replacement for the ol' Blackbird.

It appears to have 3 shift options in 1 bike according to the video.
-manual
-semi-auto(no clutch/paddle shift)
-full-auto(no clutch, no shifting)

In bumper to bumper traffic, an auto would be pretty dern sweet.
Just twist and go.
