What do you consider a moderate paced ride?

Just wanted to know what other MH members think about when they ride the back roads on sunday mornings.... i am not talking about your daily highway commute here!

1. How much would it be if you can only go 10 mph over the speed limit?

2. What do you consider a "moderate paced" ride?

You didn't have enough options there. I put a moderate pace somewhere around

120mph

I rarely get over 175, my rides change all the time, when I,m in traffic in town sometimes below speed limit, when I get on back country roads with no traffic I usually wick it up a notch or four, also depends which bike I,m on, when I took out the shadow 1100 I usually rode the limit or less, when I take out the 1098 or busa or gixxer 1000 then I bump it up a little, I guess its the punk azz kid in me

I usually go the speed limit on backroads, especially in the turns.

What I find more enjoyable in a ride than speed is consistency. I hate being behind somebody that hauls in the straights and then parks it in the turns.

+1 I like taking it easy on the staights(that's where cops nail ya) and then speeding up for the turns.

A moderate paced ride to me is everyone in the group staying together and not pushing the pace too much. It depends on who you ride with and where your riding too though. People who i ride backroads with take the roads at a descent pace and not necessarily the speed limit. BUT we don't go to the wall by any means. Keep it within reason and ride to be able to ride again.

Im really surprized that this hasnt brought on way more negative attention than it has.. Just a short while back the SMR was like putting ur name on a blacklist..

Im mean really? Straight open talk of breaking all kinds of traffic laws and calling it fun.. etc? I say do what you want, but dont brag/ talk openly about it on the boards...
