I can't wait for it to cool down outside. Riding in cool conditions makes riding much more enjoyable for me, not sweating bullets when you take your helmet off.

Now if its too cold, I take my truck

If youre looking for another reason to put off installing those grip warmers, try silk glove liners.
Its amazing how much a thin silk glove liner can warm your hands up.

to the OP:
Keep the core warm first and foremost.

Speak for yourself

When my hands are frozen from riding for ten minutes, I would say thats too cold to ride.

Im down for riding in the cold. If its just cold, then it really cant get too cold here.
NOW if you throw some precipitation into the mix, then Im out.

Rode to Austin from CS a few easters ago. It was in the upper 30s and was raining/sleeting.
By the time I was in austin, I was ready to just fall off the motorcycle so i wouldnt have to be riding anymore.

With the proper prep, its actually really nice.
Good layers, good warm fabric (thin and warm is the way to go).
Warm socks.
Balaclava, neck gator and some glove liners and youre good to go.
Combine that with a full suit so there arent gaps for cold wind to get in and its comfy.
Plus (to me at least) it feels like the motor really sings in the cold once its up to temp.

Its my hands I can never keep warm, I tried the Baclava and it helped, except I kept snotting on myself..... had some nice gooeyness wetting my lip

Bikes for sure run stronger in the cold, what do you do for your hands??

Well, hands do get cold the fastest it seems.
I wear leather gaunlets with silk glove liners. They are not the end all solutions by any means, but your be surprised how much warmer they can make your hands. But yes, at a certain point your hands just get really cold.

as for the balaclava and the snot factor...cant help you there. It sucks.

i'll take riding in the freezing cold over the unbearable heat any day. for me its way more enjoyable not to be sweating like crazy. only part that bothers me about riding in the cold is my hands, but i plan on getting some winter gloves this winter, or use my snowboarding gloves to ride

I use a nylon/fleece 'wind triangle' instead of a balaclava...with no problems.

Biggest problem has always been the fingers.. waterproof winter gloves, with liner.

Underarmor, work shirt, fleece pullover, jacket.
Underarmor or some other thermal skiv, jeans
dres socks, thick socks and boots.
