Oregon and California have their own organic standards which far exceed anything the FDA has come up with. Look for those.

AJ, what with the rap,yo

No, I don't talk like that, I don't like chimichanga, I don't even think it's mexican, and the fork, my bare hands and some corn tortillas will suffice.

That's why a lot of people stay overweight. It becomes a drug. I liked the movie but it wasn't that far of a stretch to think if you eat nothing but fast food while in your late thirties or early forties that your health will take a downward spiral. I was impressed that the guy was able to reverse the health effects even after he was told that he couldn't.

That movie should be required viewing at schools.

One of the PhD's at my work worked out 5 days a week and was a skinny, apparently healthy vegetarian. Had a heart attack several weeks ago. He ate no meat for religious reasons, but ate a lot of fried food and dairy...

Then you look at a guy like Julio Franco who plays for the NY Mets and is now 48 years old. The man looks like he's 25. Check out his diet and exercise routine in the latest Men's Health...that's the power of eating the right food and being disciplined.

i just started trying to lose some lbs.... first thing cut out sodas. that will save you a few hundred calories a day, just by doing that alone you could lose a lb a week. Keep an eating journal. Document everything you eat and drink a day. find out how many calories a day you take in. If you weigh 180 lbs your body needs 1800 calories a day to maintain that weight. Slowly start cutting a few hundred calories out of your diet a week. You'll start losing weight.
