Good point about checking the chain slack with your weight on the bike.

read the manual most say check the chain slack with you off the bike. If you want to be really fussy move the swing arm so it is collinear with the primary sprocket axle and the swing arm pivot and the rear axle then you should have about 0.5 inches of chain slack for an al swing arm little less for a steel.

Very cool info. Wish this was around for my first TD. Alot better than reading some of the longer writeups, and it shows you incase a newbie might not know what they're talking about.
