I bought an 07 shadow vt750 when I was 20, rode it for a year and a half and got my 675, it was fun, but not what i wanted, though I'd love to have a bobber eventually, just for those lazy afternoons

2008 Husqvarna SM 510
2008 Yamaha YZ250F

Started on one and got a Honda Magna when I was 21 and that was my first bike. It's great to have one hand on the throttle and be able to have some Dr. Pepper or scratch your without pulling over. LOL. Then I had a 67 Triumph Bonneville that I actually used as a daily driver. Never really got into sportier bikes until about 4 years ago. I still hate fully faired sport bikes. Don't ride track very often so I do not see why anyone would want to ride one on the street. To me it's like off roading a Honda Civic or trying to play basketball with work boots on. Wrong tool for the job. Have had naked bikes for the last 4 years except for a 3 month affair with a cbr that I sold two months later. Now I have a supermoto. Still ride my father's Triumph America all the time though. Been kicking around the idea of getting another cruiser and making it a bobber. So I will have come full circle. I still really love cruisers but I do like a spirited ride here and there. If you can only have one, then to me standards or nakeds are the best of both worlds.

2003 Kawasaki ZX6R -- trackbike
2009 ZX14 -- STOLEN -- never recovered
2008 Hayabusa -- STOLEN -- frame recovered

The day I turned 18... My dad gave me the keys to his 1981 Honda CB900 Custom and he said.... be careful. I rode it alone around for a bit then we went to the DPS and got my "M" endorsement along with my regular drivers license.

FWIW, I did not own a car until I was 28. I'm a true blue lifer.

Harley Davidson FXDWG

I was in my mid-20s when I got my 1st "cruiser".
It was an old beat-up 1979 Harley Ironhead. Needed a LOT of love, but I got it for $2,000 and could ride it home. Rebuilt, repainted, and semi-restored it over the course of a year and then sold it to buy a newer Sportster 883 Custom...then converted to 1200cc. Loved that bike.

Had a couple sport bikes in there too (Katana, R1) but the cruisers were always my favorite. Now I'm back on a Harley (Wide Glide) and love it.
