I'm almost 52 and I don't have one yet. I just can't see giving up fast, quick, and fun for slow and loud. I keep wondering when I think I'll have to make the switch but I don't see it anywhere in sight just yet.

I was 18.

my DT50 was stolen, with the insurance back i found a very cherry 1984 maxim 400 (yamaha) with complete WINDJAMMER brand..well windjammer.

full stereo system/CD player retrofitted and 4 speakers (2 were mounted on the bike) a little oudated looking even by early 90's but she was a fun simple scoot.

i lost her for a while. accident on gessner kept her in the shop for months looking for a new tank sitting in warehouse in japan..

once back, i outgrew her..i had been riding a friends 1990 SLINGHOT almost daily. sold her off and got me a seca II. i DO miss it though :( i should have not sold it.

Have you ever sat on a V-Rod? I looked at one out at Stubbs. That was probably the most miserable thing I have ever planted my on in my life! If I were to buy a Harley, it would probably be a Sport Glide. I'm seriously thinking about an M90 or 109 though.

Bikes are like a pair of shoes, one size does not fit all. I had a Nightrod Special and I love it.... I rode it to the hill country several times and I never had any discomfort while riding it. I know a guy that rides a Sportster and he likes riding it, I would not want to touch it with a 10 ft pole.... lol

The stock seats on most bikes are crappy unless you have an FLHTCU now that's a good stock seat!!!!

21 got my first big paycheck and went and bought a 03 big dog chopper with 107 super s&s. It was fun sometimes the torque rocked but it didnt like to turn or stop to much and it beat the chit outta ya lol. I probably dont see myself going back to that style of bike.

cruiser

I bought my only cruiser when I was 28 - that was 2001 - a '99 Iron Horse Ranger - 96" S&S motor. Nice torque, crappy brakes. Dragged everything. Now I am considering standards...I had an FZ1 for a while and I liked it...

30 Honda Rebel 250; POS I would ride sitting on the pillion when my legs would get cramped.
31 Honda Shadow 600; still too cramped for my legs. Ike flooded that one.
31 Honda Shadow 750; good leg room, crappy gas mileage and way too loud. 'til I put the stock mufflers on and that's what I'm kicking now. I have 61K on it (bought at 10K).

Wanting a sportbike and a dualsport. Thinking a CBR 600 (ABS) and a massively farkled BMW XChallenge for the stable would be nice.
