I work graves from 9-7:30 so it's 20 miles one way with little traffic. I think I only missed 7 days commuting on the bike to work last year. I bought it to ride it.

80 miles round trip from pearland to 290 and the beltway, used to ride but now I am part of a carpool which is significantly cheaper and safer in Houston traffic.

Yeah, but sometimes I like to take a detour... especially since I can go in whenever I want!

Not to mention, I don't usually stay in the office, as I need to go to jobsites. If I need my truck, I ride back home to grab the truck.

I don't actually do any labor myself, but I need to go to check on things or when they need me. A few months ago, I had 1 job in Cypress, 2 in Pearland, and 1 in Kingwood!! I actually write off the mileage on my bike as a bsuiness expense.

I ride everyday as long as it is not pouring when I walk out the door. I drive on the weekends to work from spring to 610 and everyday during the week to U of H for school. I've been rained on a few times!

I think I've ridden the bike to work twice this year. I hate commuting on the bike. I've hardly ridden lately anyways. Used maybe 2 gallons of gas the past few months.

I try to ride at least 3 days a week. It's between 85-100 miles round trip. I would really like to find a carpool/vanpool program, but all my attempts have failed. I'm going from Pearland to Motorcycles Unlimited. Luckily I miss the majority of traffic, unless we go into work an hour early. I have to leave about 2 hours earlier to be at work an hour earlier. Bike repair is very hard on your body, so sometimes its nice to be able to relax in the car on the way home vs. doing handlebar push-ups for an hour!

27 miles one way from Dickinson to 288/West Orem. I also ride at work, so I end up doing around 75-100 miles a day. I really don't like riding in the rain in traffic, but on days like today I did. 517 totally sucks in the rain. It's all glass-smooth asphalt and, like today, I had some in a Volvo SUV that stayed 20 ft. behind me the whole way. There was nowhere to pull over and let him pass, slowing down just kept him on my and I didn't want to haul azz on that wet asphalt (it was pouring down rain).

I'm a Construction Manager for Brighton Homes. I try to ride unless I have something that I have to haul at work. Besides, both of my coworkers have trucks, so...... A few of my coworkers have bikes also, but they only ride when there's 0% chance of rain. They don't even own a rain suit.
