Bobbers, red and black, why?

Why black and red? I know it's "old school" but I can't find out why.

Anyone?

Maybe because Bobbers reflect a "rebelious" look/attitude?? and red and black is the symbol of the anarcho-syndicalist and anarcho-communist movements..??

Who knows.....

That sounds reasonable but there has to be a starting point for it.

I assume someone famous started it and then it was copied and just stuck or
it was colors for some club or gang and it just stuck or something along those lines. I googled my off and could find nothing...

More than likely it was copied from the car guys back when all cars came in black only. Hotrodders would paint the wheels red and have whitewall tires.

Googled and read for about a hour. Couldn't find "the origin" of the
black with red accents for bikes or cars.

Sometimes I see it and think it looks ghey, sometimes it looks bad .

It's certainly easy enough to do.

it's just a classic color combo. no reasoning for it. they just look good together.
