Unhappy Low sided on 45/Main this morning...

So i was on my way to work today and while i was enjoying the ride something happened. I went down. I was heading NB on 45 by main driving "spirited" and took the main curve a little to low and before i knew it i was rolling on the pavement. Rolled straight across 45 and luckly the guy i went down in front of slammed on his brakes to keep from hitting me. needless to say the bike slid about 500 yds but to my surprise the only damage out of all this is small scrapes on the fairings (frame sliders FTW), Shredded jacket, broken helmet, scrapes and road rash (nothing broken), and to finish it off my IPhone shattered. All in all im lucky to be alive. Im headed to the store to buy another phone now, hope that goes well.

Ya that would be a good idea. I know what you are talking about on 45. Lots of bumps thorugh that area and it is a good place to max out your suspension causing the bike to handle poorly. Take Level 5's advice and come out to the track.

Good to hear you came out alright especially considering it I-45.. +1 to raising it back to stock height, it will make a huge difference in your cornering/ handling.

dude. Replacing the iPhone is going to be the worst part. They probably want to charge you full price.

Sucks that you went down, too.

Glad you're ok.

BTW - if they give you some shyt at the iPhone store and don't want to be helpful, you can buy a replacement LCD + glass screen and digitizer on eBay for about $100.00

I shattered my screen before too, and had to go that route.

Glad you're not broken up or road kill man. My guess is you've taken this corner many times before. Anything different about today? Running late, water on the road, debris or just the fact that there's less traffic on sat?

You're very lucky to be alive. Glad you're ok... seriously.

Too late to preach (not that I like to preach anyways) why it's better to start off on a smaller bike, or even an older generation sportbike if you must... so like everyone else said, go to the track and learn to better your skills with the bike you got. I assume you started riding in February of this year, so it's even more important that you get to the track before you establish bad habits. Good luck!
