We'll be leaving from the Shell at 290 and 362, Waller, meeting there at 9 am. Look for a big old fart on a silver Bandit. There is another group leaving there on a different route at about the same time.

That is the time, day, and meet spot I usually ride. But, I'll be on Racer's Road tomorrow. Maybe next time.

Sorry about putting a bit of a low point in your ride. I had not ridden that bike in a while and with rainy days coming up, I wanted to get it out for a while, plus I had not ridden on those roads, and wanted to meet some new people. I almost did not go, as the day started off with a mild hangover and I even dropped the bike in the parking lot simply standing beside it and moving it to get to the tire air valves. Bought that bike in Nov. 07 it now has 8,852 miles and my Shadow which I bought July 08 just turned 9,069 all incident free until yesterday. I just didn’t properly respect the full situation, and realized too late how close and quick that turn was coming up. That tall grass looked pretty good when I knew what was about to happen. Thanks to everyone there for all the help, and getting my bike home. Looks like mainly just broken plastics. As for me a minor concussion, broken collar bone, sore hip and basically plenty of aches. First broken bone ever and now at 50 kind of thinking this might be my initiation into cruisers only.
Specials thanks to Jim who in addition to being sure I got back home with the bike even took the doctors call and agreed to phone check on me at 3:00 am

Glad to hear you are back with us.. Bones heal, and bikes can be fixed. Chalk it up to learning and don't kick it to the curb too fast.

If you decide to fix the Busa and need some help, you know where to call.

Quick look at the bike tells me you need

upper fairing
fairing stay (might be able to bend it back in place)
right lower faring
tail grab handle
kill switch
both mirrors
