i have a friend that writes apps for iphones and he showed me a thing or two... but with any software the entire lifecycle from planning to deployment is purdy complex not to mention lengthy

true. I think it would be too difficult and time consuming to make. Not to mention that this app would have to pull the information for vbulletin, which could be a problem when programming. It could prolly be done but nobody will put in the time and money to make it!

i get the info from me using safari on my iphone all the time having to log in constantly everytime i go on MH. and every app i have used is alot faster than safari and if an app is created it would look better than the mobile site. and way to shoot down an idea..... just because your so kine on it not happening dont mean i cant try to get the ball rolling. - to secret agent

i really don't see a app happening for mh or most other forums for that matter. what you have to put into it is not worth what you get out of it. itd be the same as using a web browser, maybe slightly easier.

A better idea would be another style template for the vbulletin that is formatted for iphone with iphone stylings/buttons/ect.

Have you tried checking the remember me box when you log in? That would keep you from having to log in every time. Assuming your using the default style and not the MHmobile!

From my research in the past, its an ugly process. Not to mention not free.

Most of all I cant even imagine what the purpose would be.

...I always have about 3 windows open in my browser and MH is one of them, weather underground is another. An app would be A TON of wasted time for very little difference IMO
