The results of the threaten to kill me story

end results, and I'm gonna make this brief 'cause I'm more than .
The end result of the kid bringing a gun out and threatening to kill 3 people is that the DA has decided to not accept charges and the kid gets a citation, like a traffic ticket only. I dont get a chance to go to court to tell what happened. 3 people tell the cops he had a gun, but because they didnt find one, it is as if it never happened. Lesson learned kids, its ok to pull a gun and threaten folks, he gets away with it and the justice system doesnt really give a rats if you like it or not.
**** our justice system thats supposed to protect you. I did the right thing and used restraint and he lives another day to do it again. I did the right thing by filling out a report and filing charges against him. They write it up as "threat by assault" not " by assault with a deadly weapon" . They dont even care what you write, or what you say, in fact, they didnt even read the report they said.
This is the reason our society is the way it is today, a justice system that doesnt care, after all, it wasn't on their street. Thats when I told them next time I will ventilate him and then make the phone call.

That sux man.
But without any hard evidence it's your word against his. Sux, but thats our justice system. You did the right thing. He's gonna pull that on the wrong guy one day and it'll be over with.

what the story is that its not just MY word, its the word of 3 different people and if the guy across the street would have been asked, he would have said yes to a gun, if the guy to my right would have been asked, he also would have said the same, but as said, end result is that the justice system doesnt care. one person, 3 people, it obviously doesnt matter, as it never happened.

thats kinda funny...

a friend of mines g/f was mad at him...so she threatened to call the cops. He said go for it. So she did. The cops came and arrested him for assult, even though she was tellin them not to, and that she shouldn't have called.

they have a deal where if they go to a house for abuse, then they automatically press charges. So now hes got somethign on his record for nothin.

I didnt' read the original story, but I hear your frustration.

Having a CHL, if you pull your weapon, no matter what, you can plan to pay over 50K in lawyer fees and settling even though you had the right to do it.

So many of these peices of trash sue and win even when theyre in the wrong, its rediculous. Its sad cause I would never want to have to kill someone...

So I find it odd that if someone robs my house, while im there, its better, (from the money and hearache perspective...) to kill them so they cant come back and sue me.

Im all for justice, but its like you dont have a choice cause of everyones "rights". :eh:

Well with domestic violence it is up to the police officer's discretion whether or not to arrest the individual not the individual who originally made the complaint. This is due to the fact that the accuser may be threatened or feel that they will be threatened. The police officers do not have to make an arrest though.

If he wanted it cleared up he could have her arrested for falsely calling 911 or the police-but I don't think his g/f would appreciate that and be willing to take that hit to clear his record.

Blah... His confidence in the Justice system will grow so he will make another mistake, be ready. In that Situation I dunno what I would have done, I would say a camcorder or a picture would have nailed him but in actuallity nobody thinks of that when something goes down. Then again he could have been subdued but you run a 90% chance of someone other than purp being injured and possibly killed, but then he would have gotten something more than a slap on the wrist. Seems that unless someone is bleeding nobody wants to deal with it. (unless your a female filing herassment/assault/domestic dispute, in that case you only need to say what was done)
