Simoncelli confirmed for Imola WSB

Now this ****er could ruffle some feathers

Quote:
Current 250cc World Champion to partner Max Biaggia on Aprilia RSV4

VISORDOWN exclusively revealed the plans for the secret Imola test for Marco Simoncelli, now the current 250cc World Champion has confirmed he will race the Aprilia RSV4 at Imola at this weekend's Italian WSB meet.

Simoncelli will line up alongside Max Biaggi on the RSV4, as Max's resident team-mate Nakano is still out of action with the neck muscle problems that prevented him from taking part in race two in Germany.

Marco has been preparing for his Imola WSB debut with two days of testing at Mugello Tuesday and yesterday where he lapped with a best time of 1 minute 53.55 seconds, completing 91 laps.

He said: "I am very satisfied with this test. I was quite quick and together with the bike managed to improve a lot. We worked to find the right base setting for Imola, where it will be important to find a good set-up as quick as possible, which will make things much easier. I'd like to thank Aprilia for this great opportunity, I will be making my debut in a category and on a track that are completely unknown to me, the level of our rivals is very high and it won't be at all easy to obtain a good result."

would love to see him do well

Well, Biaggi is already very competitive with Elbowz, I would love to see an epic battle between Sideshow Bob and Speeeeez!

Could be a good one to come!

Simoncelli is one of my favorite 250gp riders. Him on a RSV4, could be magic in the making.

Me too, he reminds me so much of Rossi... man to have two with Rossi's "style" in the paddocks and out in the world may be two too many though!

He's a helluva gritty competitor like Rossi too...

This is going to be good.............

Simoncelli is the future of MotoGP, but it will be interesting how he stacks up against the WSB lads. He is definitely aggressive enough. Top 10 would be a good result for him.

Hey Grinchy, what's up with your douche bag countryman, Rae? That MF'er was beyond out of control. The scariest thing for Ben or Nori in the remaining races is qualifying in a position that puts them anywhere near him.

+1

but the kid's got challenge though. If he gets his head on straight, he'll be promising for sure.

Sim was very impressive today; even though he almost took out our boy, but that's racing. Even in the post race conference, he stated that Biaggi started braking unusually early for the chicane.

just watched a highlight program,
I see no wrong
First race fab moved offline and Johnny ran wide and into the gravel, picked it up out of the stones and still finished top ten
second race he had a brake problem

now Simoncelli's move on max that nearly resulted in both Max and Ben going down, now that was Douche worthy

go Johnny Go
